One year back...
Last year, SITA's students presented you a blazing end of year show !
They revealed their talents the 23rd of April 2016 in the Aurodhan Garden, at 237 Pappamal Koil street in Vaithikuppam.
For this fourth edition, we opened the show with our students' guitare concerts. Alan, Andrea, Benjamin, Emilie et Jigygas accompanied by their teacher, Elie, interpreted lovely songs such as « Unintended », « House of Running », « Hotel California » etc... After those delicate music notes, our two students, Zoé and Heera realised a great choreography of Bharata Natyam. Our two young beginners danced the « Pushpanjali », a traditional prayer for Ganesh who removes barrers on our way. Our dancers were radiant in their colorful outfit and their golden jewells.Thereafter, Jalhil and Emile made a Kalaripayatt performance. With this traditional martial art of south india, our two young men overwhelmed the public.
Then, we enjoyed a first demonstration of Bollywood. Our students showed their talent on the Bollywood classics songs "Marjaani" and "Chaiyya".
Afterwards, the show continued with a great hip hop performance. Concentrated and energetic, our students propagated a good mood and pep's in the place. It was a really beautiful performance.Our bollywood dancers refreshed the atmosphere with a second performance. They accomplished two choreographies « Bole Chydian » and « Dola re dola ».
Our talented ballerina, Maria, took the center stage with a ballet dance solo on « Esmeralda ». Smiling, she showed all her work and effort in a work year. She was so beautiful to see. Our students did a last performance of Bollyood on « Selfie » and « Tu meri ». Anandi, teacher of Bollywood dance and our students put all their efforts to present a authentic show of quality. The 2016 edition was turned mostly towards bollywood dance. Anandi took a lot of time to share her knowledge with our students. She go back in France but we hope to see her soon ! Since, Kanish, our new bollywood teacher join the Sita's staff.
The show ended by a awarding ceremony. Each child received a diploma giving evidence of a year of learning whithin Sita cultural center.
A pastry touch...
For our last end of year show, Saoula realised with our students of cooking class some snacks and cakes. But she had to stop working with Sita in 2016 because of the opening of her shop « Eat my cake ». This little café become an unavoidable address where you can treat yourself with homemade pastries and small snacks.
