On Saturday April 19th, SITA Team was proud to show the work and talent of its students and teachers.
For a year perfect ending, SITA's rooftop has been taken to welcome our students' relatives as well as artists.
But we should have upgraded our expectations! Indeed, you came in a higher number than what we thought, and that was a pleasure!
We have begun the show with our nine little rats, our Ballet students. Pia, Raphaël, Naillys, Thakshin, Kiara, Rishi, Ashwadita, Tishya and Amirtha impressed the public!
Then our two Hip Hop students, Noé and Lena, made their performance; they actually set the stage on fire! It must be said that these two ones are used to the scene as they participated in many performances in their school.
Hip Hop made way to Heera and Albane's performance in BarataNatyam. Our two young students became real BarataNatyam dancer for one song!
Students' part of the show finished with our four beautiful Bollywood dancers, Salomé, Vaidhi, Rosalie and Anita. That was the dance that finished convincing the public that our students had really been working hard!
In a second part, our teachers too showed their particular talents. Fleur, our Ballet and BarataNatyam teacher, touched us with her Ballet performance, dance that she's been practicing for more than 20 years now.
Kash, our Bollywood teacher, has been teaching this dance for 3 years and Salsa for 8 years. Even if latin dances are her passion, she woke up the sleeping dancers in the public with her Bollywood performance!
Applauses were forthcoming during our Hip Hop teacher's performance, Logesh, who just turned 21. With two of his friends, his break-dance show let everybody surprised.
Fleur came back on stage for a BarataNatyam performance this time, dance that she's been practicing for 8 years now. For our end-of-year show, her choreography was about Lord Shiva.
Public's eyes opened widely for Romain's show, our kids' circus teacher. Professional in circus art for many years now, his passion took him into a 10mn juggling show especially for us this Saturday.
We ended the show singing with our Voice Yoga and Singing Bollywood teacher, Arun. He masters vocal technics and interpreted two of his own songs.
But what would a great show be without some snacks at the end? Our mini-chefs from the Kids Cooking Class had been making some delicious cakes to satisfy artists and public. Selma, Raphaël, Sivan, Christelle, Quentin, Emile and Felix were proud that none of their cakes remained at the end ! And we can figure out why, thanks to their culinary talents, they have been featured in April issue of Lonely Planet!
In a nutshell, it was a really good afternoon of performances and degustation.
Thanks to all of you for coming!
