An ancient practice
The stimulation of specific points of the body in order to heal is an art known for several thousand years in Egypt or China. It was rediscovered in the 30's through the research of Dr. Fitzgerald.
Since then, foot reflexology has an important place in the long list of holistic practices.
Principle of reflexology
Indeed what could be more relaxing than a foot massage? We are very hard on them throughout the day and simply pressing them provides immediate relief, the body can finally release all the accumulated tension.
Thus, in reflexology, the reflex points are stimulated by pressure of the thumbs or with a small wooden stick. Pressure on these points leads to a parallel stimulation of the organ or tissue connected to them. Indeed, Dr. Fitzgerald, like the doctors of the great civilizations of India and China, have discovered that each foot (as well as the palm and ear lobes) is a representation of the human body and the pressure on each precise point of the sole will result in a stimulation-response in the corresponding part of the body.
During the course, you'll learn to relax your feet and soften the joints for the second stage where you will press each important point and stimulate every organ of the body in order to release toxins and improve the circulation of energy.
You will also learn to handle the Thai stick to press the reflex points of the foot and allow for overall body relaxation.
You will discover the pleasure of a foot massage and feel your body completely relax after this massage.
Basic Reflexology course lasts 15h (5 classes of 3h each, at least 10 days).
We organize the class schedule for each session depending on participants' free time and stay in the city. However, we do try to leave at least one free day between each class so the student gets time to practice and so, we can correct individually depending on everyone own needs.
Classes start for a minimum of 2 participants.
